'If at first you don't succeed, fly, fly again". That sure is the motto of the fly-in I tried to put together on Sept. 23rd. I had a large number of folks and airplanes signed up, however the weather decided to throw us low ceilings and high winds, and only a few, but devoted amount of folks made it to Midland. Based on their comments, they loved the food and aviation-themed experience of Michael's Charcoal Grill. I've also heard from several people who, like myself, decided to stay on the ground rather than tackle the elements and are quite interested in a West Texas re-do.
So, mark your calendars for December 2nd back at MDD! We'll bump the arrival time on the ramp to noon because of the time change. Come enjoy some good West Texas hospitality, great grub, and a restaurant that is pretty much floor to ceiling aviation oriented.
A link to the restaurant is below, be sure to check the video out. I'll send out a reminder as the date gets closer. Anyone know any good weather rituals?
